KAREN REYMENT - NATIONAL SALES MANAGER

How did you get started in the food industry?

I knew sales was my thing when I started in the field in Melbourne's music industry, fresh from school. Years later I took myself off to university to chase qualifications in food journalism. With many food reviews and articles under my belt, the years ticked by and the thought to combine my love of food and sales took me on my journey to become Sales Consultant, and now, National Sales Manager at Fino. Looking back, I've worked in the food industry for over 20 years. I love it!

2018.

Describe your role

There's always something to taste, learn and talk about at Fino. As well as being inspired by our always growing portfolio of specialty food and the incredible industry we fuel, I oversee Fino's national team of specialty food experts, they're the mignonette to my oysters!

Favourite food memory?

Mum teaching me how to gently incorporate butter into flour using our fingertips. I can picture her hands vividly as the crumbled mixture fell into the old Mason Cash mixing bowl. I still use that bowl today.

Dream dinner guest?

Bourdain, clichéd I know, but think of the food-fuelled fun!

Interests outside of Fino

I used to be a figure ice-skater before my love of food made me look ridiculous in a leotard.
